Completing Phase 2 of the long-range facilities plan

In 2022, a community-based group identified a two-phase plan to improve the district’s academic and activity facilities. The first phase, which was funded using state sales tax dollars, included new softball & baseball fields and renovated high school science classrooms.

The second phase will complete the outdoor activities complex and address space needs in both the secondary and elementary schools. This phase will be paid for with a general obligation bond, which is repaid using a property tax levy and requires voter approval. The project is not expected to increase taxes in the immediate future. However, because the district would be taking on new debt to pay for these projects, voters must approve the expenditure.

The vote will be held on November 3, 2026.
